Poemas de Sandra Santos

silêncio pleno em meu peito
o olhar enublado e ungido
de um nome branco e infindo
uma cadência milagrosa do mundo
sobre o rosto um precoce rubor prolongado
o voo dissipando-se nocivo
o corte celeste na alegria sombria
de tudo.

e nada se assemelha à viagem
à movimentação inquieta
de uma múltipla saudade que agrega
lucidez à surpresa
- uma respiração reescrita à pressa
possante a morte desprendendo da pele
um murmúrio quase noção do mundo.

the clouded and anointed gaze
of a white and ceaseless name
a miraculous cadence of the world
a precocious blush sustained on the face
the baneful dissipating flight
the celestial slash in the somber joy
of everything.

and nothing resembles the journey
the restless movement
of a multiple yearning that appends
lucidness to surprise
— an exhalation hastily rewritten
death almighty cutting off from the skin
a whisper almost notion of the world.

nunca perguntaste a uma borboleta
se lhe custa voar quando transformada
qual o peso largado no voo
e é custoso o ranger de pele do mundo
o corte copioso sobre um pedaço de sopro
movendo o teu sorriso pela noite
— ó hora tardia que findas um ciclo
a música é a aurora
que traças no modo de me abrir ao sono
a lembrança que traz ao peito um súbito desejo
de te ter aqui um dia
já leve
desvendando a beleza
do nosso voo
rumo ao silêncio.

have you ever asked a butterfly
if flying once transformed is hard
and how much weight is lost meanwhile
the wasteful creaking of the world’s skin
the copious slash on a piece of blow
pushing your smile through the night
— you belated hour end a cycle
music is the dawn
you trace in my way of surrendering to sleep
the remembrance that fills my heart with a sudden longing
to have you here someday
lightly
unveiling the beauty
of our flight
that heads to silence.

se eu fosse um punhal
deixaria cair
a lâmina
todos os dias
na erva molhada
até ela regressar
em flor.

if I were a dagger
I would drop
the blade
every day
on the wet grass
until it came back
in blossom.

as mães movimentam os maiores medos
como quem domestica vulcões
que se adensam pela vida
dos filhos adentro,
ressoando labaredas
torpedos titânicos;
agarrando o coração
pela corda inquietada da mulher
os filhos esgravatam rochedos
arquitectam chegar-lhe perto
em vão a vida voa
parece fugir-lhes do peito
o vagar a vontade
esgotam-se-lhes as palavras
os gestos calados
trovejando no ventre
a maravilhosa possibilidade
do amor ser um éter
amniótico caótico
habitando, maternal, a eternidade.

mothers agitate their biggest fears
as if taming volcanoes
that stiffen deep inside
the life of their children,
resonating flares
titanic torpedoes
holding the heart
by the woman’s distressed cord
the children scrape rocks
they plot an approach
and life flies in vain
like escaping from their chest
wandering at will
with words exhausted
quiet gestures
that thunder in the womb
the wonderful possibility
that love be an ether
amniotic chaotic
inhabiting, maternally, eternity.

falemos da direcção dos ventos
falemos da revoada
trucidando os corpos
"onde te dói?"
"onde tocares"
falemos da noite
e da agitação da luz
após o remoinho de som
em torno de ti mesmo.

toquemos sempre no rebentamento
como que dele tomando as rédeas
de tanto tocar não mais torne a doer
toquemos na refracção do entardecer
toquemos tanto
que sejamos por fim
deuses.

let us speak of where the winds are headed
let us speak of the flocks
slaughtering the bodies
“where does it hurt?”
“wherever you touch”
let us speak of the night
and the agitation of light
after the whirling sound
around you.

let us always touch the blast
as if holding its reins
touching so much it never hurts again
let us touch the refraction of nightfall
let us touch so much
until at last we become
gods.

o meu olhar persegue a luz
no horizonte viaja
até ti
faz noite
aí na América
faz dia
aqui na Europa
o nosso olhar gira e fixa
o sol que não tem morte
que só nasce
aqui,
amor.

my gaze pursues the light
and travels in the horizon
until it reaches you
it is nighttime
there in the Americas
it is daytime
here in Europe
our gaze spins and fastens
the sun that never dies
that only rises
here
love.
